After 6:49:18,3 hours, the Italian Manuel Senni reached the finish line in first place to the thunderous applause of more than 5,000 spectators. On the last climb, up to the Timmelsjoch, he was able to break away from the leading group and brought the lead of about 2:40min to the finish. Second place went to Austrian Alban Lakata, who managed to beat his compatriot Johnny Hoogerland (3rd place) with a better final sprint on the last climb. In the women's race, the German Janine Meyer triumphed for the first time with an incredible record time of 7 hours, 27 minutes and 47 seconds. Samantha Arnaudo (ITA) in second and Catherine Rossmann (GER) in third completed the women's podium. A total of 3869 participants reached the finish line in Sölden.
