GWA Wingfoil World Cup Denmark 2023 - Trailer
The GWA Wingfoil World Tour 2023 will make its debut in Denmark with a Surf-Freestyle and FreeFly-Slalom World Cup event from September 3-9. The event will be held in Hvide Sande on the North Sea coast, a town in central western Denmark nestled in the dunes of Holmsland. This is the fifth round of competition in both disciplines, with only two stops left to determine the champions. Spain's Nia Suardiaz has shown remarkable ability, securing consecutive victories in both disciplines in the Canary Islands in July. Her recent triumph in the all-surfing Wingfoil Wave event in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, earlier this month further cemented her position as a formidable competitor. Bowien van der Linden (NED) and reigning FreeFly-Slalom World Champion Flora Artzner (FRA) will all be looking to close the gap and challenge the young talent. The men's competition is more unpredictable, especially in the FreeFly-Slalom. Titouan Galea (FRA) has his sights set on the world title. In Surf-Freestyle, it's hard to imagine anyone beating the performance of 17-year-old American Chris MacDonald. He received perfect tens from the judges in the Canary Islands. Among the finalists in Fuerteventura, the French pair of Axel Gerard and Malo Guénolé - the reigning Surf-Freestyle World Champion – will try to give MacDonald a run for his money.
