Results in the U17 boys, the French Noé Garandeau (FRA 38) remains on first place. Tom Nicolle (FRA 55), who dropped to third after a protest yesterday, had a very good performance winning today’s race and accomplished to climb up to second place overall. The Polish boy, Igor Lewinsky (POL 30), who yesterday was second after the protest, today took the third place overall after a tie break with the French Nicolle.

On the fifth day of the Youth and Junior World Championships in Silvaplana, it was cloudy and cold. The plan was to start all the finals that could not be done so far, but the wind was not sufficient. Instead, a night Tow-In Freestyle show was started in the evening.

After a long final day of competition, the new world champions are crowned: In the youngest age groups, U15, Artun Senol (TUR) claims the 2022 title in the boys’ races, while Hanna Simon from Hungary not only wins the final in the girls’ U15, but also in the U17 races. French windsurfer Noé Garandeau is the new champion in the boys age group of under 17-year-olds. And finally, the victories in the U19s go to Charlie Dixon from Great Britain (boys) and Isreal’s Tamar Steinberg (girls).
