In an exceptional 3-day event, the 2021 Red Bull Cliff Diving World Series’ return to magnificent Mostar, Bosnia and Herzegovina, will see 26 athletes launch from the Old Bridge, Stari Most, in honour of the local diving tradition.
It’s the sixth time that the cliff diving elite returns to the historic Stari Most on August 28, and the stage looks set for more history to be added to this challenging location. After a sensational start into the season for wildcard diver Catalin Preda in France, the Romanian just earned another chance to outshine record-champion Gary Hunt, who was forced into second place on homesoil at the season opener. The Frenchman is the only athlete – male or female – to repeat a win in this significant spot. For the reigning champion in the women’s, Rhiannan Iffland from Australia, a victory in Mostar would extend her winning streak to 10 in a row across seasons.
