The First Layer project began back in 2015 to showcase the talent Vans Snow has across Europe.
This year we invited the team across the globe to make them focus on one specific region…the land of the Rising Sun.

La saga du Vans Pool Party continue et cette dixième édition fut une réussite, encore une fois le niveau était dingue et la bataille a été serré chez les pros comme vous pourrez le constater dans ces highlights! Vivement l'année prochaine.

Pour présenter la série spéciale Vans x Star Wars (chaussures et vétements) qui sortira en juin 2014, nous sommes allés au skatepark Vans Off the Wall Skatepark à Huntington Beach, en Californie pour filmer un contest de skate qui a eu lieu en 1980.
Après que le légendaire skater Christian Hosoi finisse son run, un rookie Wookie (joué par une autre légende, Steve Caballero), déchire le bowl et reçoit des notes variables des juges.

"Residende de la Plage" is our tribute to Joan Duru showcasing his surfing repertoire at his beloved Hossegor. Here's a small and intense dose of his high voltage surfing.
2016 could be the year where Joan finally jumps one step further to secure his spot amongst the elite of surfing. Sitting right on the bubble of the top seed in the QS rankings and surfing better than ever, it's time for us to send him positive vibes and give him one last push to help Joan to achieve his lifetime goal.....

Vans Shop Riot celebrated another historic finals as Bana, Portugal were crowned champions of Europe for the first time at their local spot in Parque Das Gerações skatepark, Lisbon, Portugal. Following epic riots throughout the day with notable battles including Frisco, Tactic, Lockwood and Destroy. It was Bana & Titus who took their rightful places in the final. With a fairly even run throughout the final, it then led to what can only be described as a memorable moment in the history of Vans...
