Europe's most anticipated winter sports event of the year is officially over! 300 of the world's best snowboarders and freeskiers came to the Swiss Alps to open the competition season in style. The unique freestyle facilities, an innovative slopestyle course and the superpipe offer perfect conditions for the superstars on freestyle snowboards and skis.

In the Slopestyle Freeski Men competition Birk Ruud from Norway, current Olympic Big Air champion and Slopestyle World champion took home the gold medal. Swiss local hero Mathilde Gremaud, current World & Olympic Slopestyle champion, wins the women Freeski competition.

After 2019 and 2020, Australian Scotty James once again took the win this year, wowing spectators with his stylish halfpipe run. Valentino Guseli (AUS) landed in second place, making a world premiere with a frontside 1620. Japan’s Ruka Hirano completes the podium in third place. In the women’s event, last year’s winner Mitsuki Ono from Japan won with 81.75 points. The young American Bea Kim and Ruki Tomita (JPN) completing the podium in second and third place.

The twenty finalists showed progressive runs at this first FIS Snowboard World Cup of the season. Tricks such as cab double 9 on the shark fins, back to back 1620s on kickers, backside 5 in the quarter.
