VANS Bowl Series - Concrete Week end - Annecy, France
Some of Europe’s best street and bowl riders came to the 3rd edition of the VANS Concrete Weekend at the Skatepark des Marquisats in Annecy, France, for the second stop of the Vans Bowl Series. In the epic orange course the UK’s Sam Beckett took 1st place in the Bowl Comp with technical transition prowess that earned 1000 Euros and secured a spot in the Vans Bowl Series Finals. Jake Collins gave the park all he had and took the 2nd Place followed by the bowl "owner," local hero Joris Brichet in 3rd place.
Just prior to the bowl finals, the huge crowd in attendance watched an amazing battle between the best French street skaters just minutes from the Lac D’Annecy. To win the battle, Douwe Macace pulled every trick possible on the course during the 10 minute Jam and took 1000 euros home. Max Genin came in 2nd and Adrien Bullard completed the podium of this crazy finale.
The guys had two more chances to get some other cash with a Best Trick Contest hosted by Analog and won by Sebastien Belgout.
Sam Beckett, Jake collins & Szymon Stachon shared the cash from the Pro-tec Best trick on the Bowl Extension built for the occasion.
To close the weekend, the famous Best tricks on the Blocks supported by Monster this year offered cash to Max Genin, Adrien Bullard & Aurelien Giraud.
As always a big thank you to our partners: Monster, Fiat Freestyle team, Analog, Nixon, Spitfire, Independent, ABS, le Annecy Board Club, cliché, Pro-tec and la ville d’Annecy.
